MPL Treatment
CeTech GDL Treatment uses micro-porous materials adapting high efficient carbon powder as a material, which effectively enhances the surface flatness, conductivity and porosity.
Why MPL¡H
1.Avoid catalyst coming off:¡G
Without MPL, catalyst is easy to come off and obstructs the GDL. The consequences of less catalyst and GDL obstruction will decrease the fuel cell reaction rate.
2.Improve the management of water¡G
With a pore structure different from other adjacent components, the capillarity helps with water removal from the catalyst layer and allows higher gas transport. Better water management solves the critical flooding problem in fuel cells.
3.Reduce the electric contact resistance¡G
MPL also functions as a ¡§flattening layer¡¨. The addition of MPL flattens the contact area between the GDL and the catalyst layer. This helps to reduce the electric contact resistance between the two layers.
4.Enhance conductivity
MPL with higher conductivity materials is able to decrease the insulation impact due to the Teflon spread for better hydrophobicity.

Character
CeTech GDL Treatment can effectively caulk the gap between the fibers and prevents the catalyst from falling into the GDL. Moreover, it can reduce the contact resistance by enhancing the surface flatness. This endows the unit with good hydrophobic characteristics to prevent sedimentary water in the MEA.
